Since having my own children, photographing families has become one of my favourite parts of the job. I create natural family portraits in Peak District and the surrounding areas, using outdoor settings to keep sessions relaxed, playful and full of personality.

Family portraits on location
For me, photographing family portraits on location is always better than being in a studio. Children are happiest when they can move, explore and be themselves, which makes for much more natural photographs.
I love working outdoors with families in Peak District and the surrounding countryside, where there is plenty of space for children to run, jump and play. Pets are always welcome too, because they are part of the family as well.
I would always say wear what you feel comfortable in and do not worry too much about the weather. The most important thing is having fun and creating photographs that your family will keep and cherish forever.
