Wedding & Family Photographer in Stockport, Heaton Moor, Manchester & Cheshire

Living and working in Stockport is something I never take for granted. Having called this area home for over 15 years and raised my two children here, it always feels incredibly special when local couples, families and businesses choose me to capture some of the most important moments in their lives.

As a wedding photographer in Stockport, Manchester and Cheshire, I feel lucky to have so many incredible locations right on my doorstep. From historic architecture and vibrant urban streets to beautiful parks and hidden green spaces, there are endless opportunities to create natural, storytelling photographs that reflect who you are.

Wedding Photography at Stockport Town Hall

One of my favourite places to photograph weddings is Stockport Town Hall. It's one of Greater Manchester's most iconic wedding venues, and every time I walk through its doors I'm reminded why I love photographing there.

The magnificent Art Deco staircase creates a stunning backdrop for portraits, while the grand architecture and elegant interiors provide beautiful opportunities for timeless wedding photographs. Step outside and you're surrounded by striking period buildings that add even more character to your gallery.

Whether you're planning an intimate ceremony or a larger celebration, Stockport Town Hall is a venue that never fails to impress.

Exploring the Stockport Underbanks

After the ceremony, I often take my couples for a relaxed walk through the Stockport Underbanks.

With its cobbled streets, independent cafes, colourful shopfronts and historic buildings, it's become one of my favourite places for wedding portraits. The recent regeneration has transformed the area into one of the most exciting locations in Greater Manchester while still retaining all of its original character.

The Underbanks provide the perfect setting for couples who love natural, relaxed photography with an urban feel. We simply wander together, stopping whenever the light, architecture or atmosphere creates the perfect opportunity for a photograph.

Beautiful Portrait Locations in Heaton Moor

It's not just weddings that I love photographing here.

For family photography in Stockport, Heaton Moor has some wonderful hidden gems. Heaton Moor Park is one of my favourite locations for outdoor family portraits, engagement sessions and children's photography. It offers beautiful open green spaces, mature trees and gorgeous natural light throughout the year.

I always encourage families to relax, play and enjoy time together rather than worrying about posing. The result is a gallery filled with genuine smiles, laughter and the little moments that make your family unique.

Celebrations at Village Point, Heaton Moor

Another local venue I always enjoy photographing is Village Point in the heart of Heaton Moor.

Whether it's a wedding reception, birthday celebration, family party or corporate event, it's a fantastic venue with a warm atmosphere and a great location. Being so close to local parks also makes it easy to step outside for a few relaxed portraits before returning to the celebrations.
